The doctors surgery booked me an appointment for my babies second lot of jabs, I turn up for the appointment today and am told by the nurse that she cannot do them as it has been booked too early and I need to rebook for next week. I don't usually complain TBH but this is the last straw after a long list of errors and problems with this surgery including repeat prescriptions not being filled, repeat prescriptions not being sent to the pharmacy as requested. And being told by Dr Mahohar that if I had breastfed for longer then my baby would not have reflux!!

Response from Garlinge Surgery

Clearly an administrative error as the receptionist did not calculate the age of the baby when appointment was requested. Apology for failure on the surgery's part. In future please do help our staff who are busy booking appointments and may in a rush miscalculate the dates by providing them the date after which you need the appointment. The error was not intentional really sorry for the inconvinience caused.

Customer service has really improved over the years as is clearly reflected in how the receptionists deal with you. My experience of them recently has been very good. They are polite, courteous and listen. Dr Manohar is our family GP and a good listener, offers good sound medical advice. I feel I can make an informed choice on treatment where possible. I feel confident in approaching him with issues that require a sensitive approach.

noticed today 05/01/15 repeat prescriptions work on a CALENDER MONTH whereas medication works on a 28 day cycle tried to tell the staff, not interested ,put in repeat prescription cannot have until date due on prescription !!!!!!!!! four days without medication!!!!!!! suggest staff are made aware of this, and the repeat prescription reflect to 28 day cycle

Response from Garlinge Surgery

28 day prescribing is not a surgery requirement but a government one as medications are supplied in 28 day packaging to pharmacies. Sorry for the inconvinience, the staff should have explained that to you. Practice Manager

Over all I am pleased with the service I receive from all members of staff at the surgery, the Dr is attentive to my concerns and explains everything to me clearly. The staff are polite and help as much as they can.
